This series will be a combination of abstract, natural forms and figurative elements. As with my White Tree series, I'm sure that as I explore this new avenue the paintings will evolve into something that will suggest a name. Stay tuned...

| Ikon I I've always loved drawing faces, particularly with different expressions. For this group of paintings I started with some interesting sketches and then overlaid those on some interesting backgrounds. The backgrounds then suggested additional elements, such as the feathers and in this case, the ribbon. [12x14] $250

| Ikon II Another expressive face, again with feather details and a necklace. Most of the fine detail work does't show up very well in the small digital image. [12x14] NFS

| Blind Justice - Fire & Ice The first image created for this new (as yet unnamed) series. I am really enjoying working on these, particularly when I can work white branches into the supplemental imagery. Not only do I think that they are effective in expressing a certain fragility to the pieces, but I enjoy the time spent working on the layering of the branches. [18 x14] $425

| Blind Justice - Calm & Quiet This is probably my favorite of the Blind Justice paintings, mostly in that I am very happy with the way that both the neck pieces came together as well as how the branches grow out of the flowing fabric headpiece. [18 x14] $425

| Blind Justice - Enduring Third of the Blind Justice ladies; I think that this one is the strongest image expressing the title of the series. I'm happy with the way that the details worked out, imperfectly symmetrical. The floating nature of the face which is enigmatic and mysterious invites the viewer to wonder at exactly what the subject is hiding from. [18 x14] $425
